Photography Contest

Another year, another 8^th District Photo Contest is in the works.  Spring, summer, fall are the times of year, with flower shows, landscapes bursting with color and lots of horticulture to admire, to take photos of your favorite designs, landscapes and horticulture specimens.  A $25.00 award will be given for the winning photo entry from each of the categories listed below.  Entrants should submit a 4” x 6” color print, glossy or matte, to Marsha Becker our 8^thDistrict Awards Chairman. 

To add to the fun, we will post submitted photos on this website for all to see if submitted digitally as well as in print.  Forward photos in .jpg format along with the same information required on the printed copy to Susan at sjloughran@hotmail.com  making sure you list the contest in the subject line of the email.  The names will not be posted on the site to ensure blind judging.

Only one entry per category will be accepted per person and the entrant must have taken the photographs entered for competition.  Prints will not be returned. Include your name, garden club and award entry category on the back of the photo.  The deadline is December 31^st and the Awards will be presented at the 8^th District’s Spring Meeting.

Award 11 B.2. Creative Design. (Must conform to National Garden Club, Inc., Standards)
