Eighth District Garden Clubs
DEC Camp Scholarship
The Eighth District of Federated Garden Clubs of NYS is sponsoring a scholarship for a week of fun and outdoor adventure at a NYS Department of Environmental Conservation camp to children ages 11-13 years of age. Eighth District applicants may choose only between Camp Rushford or Camp Pack Forest.
The DEADLINE for the Eighth District sponsored scholarship applications is December 31st, of each year.

Youths aged 11-17 may also apply for a one-week scholarship to any of the DEC camps, including Camp Colby and Camp DeBruce through an affiliated program with our state organization the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State. You may use the Eighth District's application for this scholarship but must submit it to Catherine Barthel no later than November 29th .
Applicants aged 11-13 who do not receive the FGCNYS camp scholarship will have their applications automatically entered for the Eighth District's
scholarship to attend either Camp Rushford or Camp Pack Forest.

About Camp Rushford
Camp Rushford, near Rushford Lake, is in the 4,500 acre Hanging Bog Wildlife Management Area and is the camp for the 11-13 age group. The camper will:

About Camp Pack Forest
Pack Forest is the camp for youth that are 11 to 13 years old (only during the 4th week of July). They will explore:

Wildlife Management
